David Adedeji Adeleke, popularly known by his stage name as Davido, has been absent from the music industry and the world since the death of his son which occurred on the 31st of October, 2022, at his Banana Island Mansion in Lagos, Nigeria.
He has since then not made any appearances until the closing ceremony of the World Cup which happened on December 18, 2022, at the Lusail Iconic Stadium. He performed alongside other musicians like Aisha, Ozun and GIMS.
His energetic performance brought warmth to the hearts of the people since he was missed. Other popular musicians like Iyanya, took to his page to welcome him of which others also reacted to his post in regards to the ceremony.
He is yet to make an official return since the fans are expecting an album sooner or later or any new music to confirm he is here to stay.
