Ahead of the 31st Night Service, the Ghana Pentecostal and Charismatic Council is calling on its members to avoid the laying of hands and anointing services.

This call is necessitated by increasing numbers in COVID-19 cases across the country.

Ghana, just like many countries across the world, is experiencing the 4th wave of the deadly pandemic.

The highly transmissible Omicron variant has been blamed for the surge in COVID-19 cases in the country.

Currently, Ghana is said to be averaging over 1,074 daily COVID- 19 cases, with 9584 active cases, as at December 28, 2021.

Ahead of the 31st Watch Night Service, the Council has urged it members to avoid any form of physical contacts to reduce the spread of the virus.

The President of the Council, Rev. Professor. Frimpong Manso, also called on Ghanaians to adhere to the COVID-19 safety protocols to avert a possible resurgence and surge in the country.
