Jordan Ayew will captain the Black Stars for the first time as he lead the team in today’s Cup of Nations qualifier against Sudan.
Coach CK Akonnor has given the Crystal Palace star the chance to lead the team in today’s encounter.
Captain Andre Ayew and his deputy Thomas Partey are all out of the game due to injury. Second deputy Richard Ofori is also suspended leaving Akonnor to fall on Jordan Ayew as his leader for the game.
Ayew will thus be in the captain’s armband for the first time since making his debut in 2012.
