GOIL Withdraws Membership from AOMC

GOIL has withdrawn its membership of the Association of OIL Marketing Companies.

In a strongly worded statement, the company cited disrespect and statements that has brought the company to public ridicule as reasons for their actions.

The Association of Oil Marketing Companies in a statement had alleged that the decision of GOIL to reduce prices of its products was as a results of government’s directive to the company.

The company remarked that reducing prices of its product was part of the company’s efforts to cushioning Ghanaians who owe 78% of its shares through SSNIT, Government of Ghana and BOST.

The statement signed by the group CEO of GOIL, Kwame Prempeh also stated that there have been instances GOIL has reduced its prices, the past, just to cushion their customers.
