GFA fines Kotoko Coach Seydou Zerbo

The Ghana football giants, Kumasi Asante Kotoko’s Head Coach, Seydou Zerbo has been fined GHc2000 for improper behavior through a verdict issued on Tuesday, January 31, 2023.

According to the Ghana Football Association (GFA), the coach attempted to assault the match officials and also made certain gestures which were inappropriate during Kotoko’s past league match against Bechem United FC on 3rd November 2022.

The Ghana Football Association disciplinary Committee stand firm that Zerbo’s action had placed the game into a disrepute.

The Asante Kotoko head coach pleaded guilty to the charge claiming he was upset about the decisions made by the referee during the match.

But, his confrontation between him and the referee was not that serious as reported.

The porcupine warriors pleaded with the Committee to consider their coach as a first-time offender and vowed to spread awareness of peaceful game to their players and the technical team .

The head coach was cautioned that another misconduct from him will lead to serious disciplinary actions.
