The pre-friendly match against the Black Galaxies’ vrs Mozambique at the 5 July 1962 Stadium has been abandoned.
The Mozambique team were in the lead with 1-0 but after 72 minutes, Ghana was awarded a penalty for handball.
The Mozambique coach was furious to the extent that, he stormed the pitch and told his players to leave the field because he said the referee made a wrong decision and his officiating was bias.
Even though there was a dialogue between the two teams to solve the issue, the Mozambican officials refused to restart the game.
But after several minutes of waiting, the match ended without a restart as the Mozambique players walked off the pitch.
The Black Galaxies are now going to focus their attention on the tournament where they are set to face Madagascar, Sudan, and Morocco in Group C.
The 2023 CHAN will be hosted in Algeria from January 13 to February 4, 2023.
