Canadian Rapper, Daystar Shemuel Shua Peterson popularly known as Tory Lanez has been found guilty and faces 22 years in prison after being convicted of assault and weapons offenses for shooting Megan Thee Stallion.
A trial that started last week saw a lot of people taking to the stand including Tory lanez, Megan Thee Stallion and her best friend who was in the car as at the time of the incident. A lot of accusations were made same as the denial.
Earlier this year, an accident that happened that saw the famous musician Megan thee Stallion being shot in the leg on their way home from a birthday party of the famous self made billionaire Kylie Jenner .
It was alleged that the Rapper Tory Lanez who got into an argument with the female musician (Megan Thee Stallion ) shot her in the foot whiles others were in the car with them .
The police stopped the car and got everyone out but saw Megan Thee stallion limping out of the car, it could be seen that blood was dripping from the legs of the female rapper.
Both lawyers of the rappers denied any accusations and was certain about the informations given out by the clients during the trial.
But a key evidence brought out in the trial which was kept confidential, saw Tory lanez loose the case .
The verdict came in on Friday, just before the holiday where a group of Los Angeles jurors found Tory guilty of all three charges against him, felony negligent discharge of a firearm, assault with a semiautomatic firearm and carrying a loaded and unregistered firearm.
Tory Lanez is now waiting for a sentencing hearing which would lead to facing 22 years in prison.
