Emmanuel Andrews Samini, popularly known as Samini has told traders to stop overpricing their goods.
In an interview with TV3 today, December 22, 2022, “It’s actually an unfortunate situation, and I think it’s a cultural thing that Ghanaians have to sit up and try and put a stop to,” he said after the question of why traders take advantage of the current situation and overprice their goods was asked to him.
According to him, he has also been affected by it.
Expressing his thoughts, he believes when things are not charged in foreign currencies, it can help in the economy state of the country and also help the people in general.
On how the Reggae Dancehall genre is holding up in the music industry, Samini praised the likes of Stonebwoy and Shatta Wale for holding on to Reggae Dancehall and keeping it alive.
He also said Musiga should be classified differently from GHAMRO.
This is because he believes Musiga seeks for dues from the musicians whereas GHAMRO pays the musicians their pensions.
Reggae Dancehall artist Samini who has made his name in the music industry with songs like; Obra, Fake Mallam and My Own, also the current SRC President in GIMPA said, he would provide podcasts and master class after school to impact his knowledge and experience to upcoming artists who would want to impact from him.
