Sensational Hip-Hop artist, Kwaw Kesse has said that Ghanaian DJs must bear a share of blame for the difficulty some Ghanaian artists face, when seeking to penetrate other markets.
According to him, the high patronage of Nigerian music by Ghanaian DJs, leaves Ghanaian artists with no other option than pandering to the beck and call of their Nigerian counterparts.
At his Freedom Wave Concert held at the Accra Sport Stadium, Shatta Wale took a swipe at players in Nigeria’s Entertainment Industry.
According to the controversial Dancehall artists, Nigeria’s Entertainment industry hardly supports arts from different countries.
In a rather harsh tone, Shatta Wale used some unprintable words on players of Nigeria’s Entertainment industry, claiming he does not need their support to make it.
This has since provoked debate about the relationship and the extent of support that exist between Entertainers from Ghana and Nigeria.
Reacting to the conversation, Kwaw Kesse remarked that Ghanaians are to be blamed for the seemingly lack of support from their Nigerian counterpart.
‘’We are our own problem, we don’t have to blame anyone but ourselves. No foreign artist has forced Ghanaians to invite them for shows, Ghanaians do,’’ he tweeted.
He urged Ghanaians to love and patronize their own musicians.
