Prez. Nana Addo Inaugurate GIPC Board

President Nana Akufo-Addo has, at short ceremony at the Presidency, sworn in a 10-member Board for the GIPC.

Ghana Investment Promotion Center (GIPC) is a Government agency, responsible under the GIPC Act, 2013 (Act 865): to encourage and promote investments in Ghana.

The Center also provides for the creation of an attractive incentive framework and a transparent, predictable, and facilitating environment for investments in Ghana.

The Board is to be chaired by Mr Alex Apau Dadey, who is expected to assist the Centre, in undertaking measures that will enhance Ghana’s investment climate for both local and foreign enterprises.

At the ceremony, H.E Nana Akufo-Addo expressed optimism in the newly inaugurated Board. He also pledged the support of the Presidency to make the work of the Board a fufiling one.

The board include Chief Executive Officer of the GIPC, Yofi Grant; first Deputy Governor of the Bank of Ghana (BoG), Maxwell Opoku- Afari and Director –General of the National Development Planning Commission (NDPC), Dr Kodjo Esseim Mensah-Abrampa.



The rest are, Deputy Minister of Trade and Industry, Nana Dokua Asiamah-Adjei; Deputy Minister of Finance, Dr John Ampontuah Kumah, Mr. Kwaku Agyemang-Duah ; Robert Ahomka-Lindsay (member), Madam Nora Bannerman-Abbott (member), and Madam Margaret Ekua Prah (member).
