World information circulating has to do with the presidents of Egypt, Somalia and Eritrea setting aside the long-standing differences with Ethiopia.
This agreement was sealed between the distinct nations during the a summit at the Eritrean capital, Asmara.
Formerly, a diplomatic conflict pushed Somalia to establish a bond with Egypt and Eritrea, both of which were not at peace with Ethiopia.
Director Hasan Khannenje of the Horn International Institute for strategic studies, told the BBC’s Focus on Africa, during the crisis, that it could be a possible attempt to to transfer aggression so, together, they could overpower Addis Ababa.
However, Somalia’s president debunked this claim by reassuring that the meeting between the countries was meant to establish co-operation.
The Ethiopian Prime Minister, Abiy Ahmed, signed a declaration of peace and friendship with Eritrea, which won him the Nobel Prize soon after.
