There has been compiled charges waged against a Ghanaian soldier who declined responding to court’s lawsuit.
The thirty-six year-old, Clement Ayomah, is on trial on account of defrauding twenty-two civilians, extorting an amount of GH₵ 136,000 each from them, with the deception of recruiting them to work in the Ghana Armed Forces.
Apart from this, the accused has received further lawsuits of which he collected GH₵ 500,000 and GH₵ 320,000 from a senior military officer and a police officer respectively.
Even though the officer, Clement Ayomah, pleaded not guilty against all the charges, his refusal to honour the court’s invitation proved to disrespectful, hence, leading to the revoking of his request.
Based on the outcome of events, the case has been rescheduled for November 4, 2024.
