ALLEGED : Bonuses For Professional And Non-Professional Staff Increased

According to reports within the media space, the ruling government (NPP) has revived a process in which certain financial allowances, termed as Continuous Professional Development (CPD) for all Ghanaian professional staff, untrained teachers and non-teaching staff.

This is enhance the livelihoods of teaching and non-teaching staff under the Ministry of Education, both professionals and non-professionals as well.

The CPD allowances for professional teachers will be topped up to GH₵ 2,400, instead of the usual GH₵ 1,200 __ whereas the untrained teachers and school workers will receive an additional amount of GH₵ 1,000 to the certified GH₵ 800 they were receiving at the end of every month, amounting to GH₵ 1,800.

These salary increments, seem to underline the government’s solid and undying interest in fostering the welfare and financial upgrade of the professional and non-professionals staff, ensuring that they earn enough to get equipped with the current teaching methodologies and skills to support learners nationwide.

Originally set up in the year 2020, the Continuous Professional Development (CPD) was implemented to help all educational workers wager against insufficient skills and financial challenges, as many training programmes were held at the time.
