Member of Parliament for Assin Central Kennedy Ohene Agyapong has demanded that his party admit the challenging economic times the country is currently battling.
The maverick member of parliament also charged the Akuffo-Bawumia New Patriotic Party led government to render an apology to Ghanaians for the economic hardship in the country.
‘‘We should go out there with humility, apologize to Ghanaians and admit your mistakes before you can convince anybody to vote for you,’’ he remarked.
He warned that doing otherwise could spell doom for the New Patriotic Party’s electoral fortunes.
He made these comments while speaking at the NPP’s Ablekuma South campaign launch in Accra.
The vociferous MP noted that the party could only break the 8 if members were united, pledging to support the flagbearer, Dr. Bawumia in his quest to win the next elections.
‘‘Let’s give the NPP another chance,’’ he added.
