I AM AN NDC SYMPATHIZER -RICHARD JAKPA Richard

Richard Jakpa, the third accused person in the ongoing ambulance trial, has revealed his long-standing affiliation with the opposition National Democratic.

This comes a day after he filed a petition to the Chief Justice over claims of being maltreated by the Attorney -General and the Trial judge, citing human rights abuses and infringement on his liberties.

‘’I am a sympathizer of the National Democratic Congress. I and Mettle Nounu represented Atta Mills in 2008.’’

He made this revelation in an interview on Pulse with Elton Brobbey on the Joy News channel.

He advanced the long-standing relationship between his father and the National Democratic Congress,

He strictly defended the propriety of his role in the contract, indicting the former Minister of Health Shirely Ayittey for purportedly demanding kickbacks, before she would activate her terms of the contract.

He also criticized Seth Tekpher, the former Minister of Finance, for his failure to adhere to Attorney-General’s advice that a letter of credit be processed for the ambulances, to avert any judgment debt payment.

He insisted that the decision of the deputy Finance Minister, at the time, Attoh Forson, to sign the L.C was in keeping with instructions of his boss, the former Finance Minister, who was out of the country.
