The Gonja overlord Yagbonwura Sulemana Tuntumba Boresa I ,has sadly died after 12 years of reign .
Reports from Graphic Online says the 90-year-old chief died in his palace in Damango on February 4, 2023 at dawn after been unwell for sometime.
Family of the overload are making preparations for an official announcement of his passing.
Yagbonwura Sulemana Tuntumba Boresa I , was birthed by Yapeiwura Bakari who is also the son of Yagbonwura Mahama of Kusawgu and Mma Nyenbali Chiraba in the early 1930s.
His father Yapeiwura Bakari got married to more than eleven wives , so in a position of hierarchy among his children, Yagbonwura Tuntumba Boresa I, was the heir and the 30th in line among his siblings since he is the oldest.
He was placed as King of Gonja kingdom in March 2010.
