Flagbearer candidate for the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Kennedy Agyapong has said that agriculture will play a significant role in his transformational agenda for Ghana if elected President.
Speaking to journalists in Accra, the Assin Central legislator stated that he aspires to use the country’s Northern region as Africa’s foodbasket.
“If you vote me today or elect me as President of Ghana, I will use the five regions of the north, Afram and Accra plains to feed the whole of Africa,” he promised.
He stressed that Ghana can see real socio-economic development if agriculture is boosted.
In 2022, Mr. Agyapong revealed his desire to run for president on the NPP’s slate, claiming he would be the greatest choice for the position in the subsequent general elections.
He said he will be leveraging on his philanthropism, honesty, love for humanity and most importantly his desire to develop the country.
