Ghanaian Artist manager and controversial entertainment personality, Nana Asiamah Hanson, widely known as Bulldog has been fined GH48,000 for threatening President Akufo-Addo over the Menzgold Saga.
Bulldog was hauled into court in 2021 after saying on UTV that President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo would not finish his four-year term if Menzgold customers were not paid.
The well-known artiste manager was charged with disorderly conduct and breach of the peace.
Throughout the two-year trial, Bulldog pleaded not guilty to the charge, insisting that he had never intended to threaten the president. He claimed he had only asked the President to intervene in the interests of Menzgold customers.
However, the presiding Judge, Justice Evelyn Asamoah, noted that the statement was not an appeal given its gravity.
The artiste manager is expected to pay a GH48,000 fine or face 40 days in prison if he fails to do so.
