The general secretary of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) Mr. Justin Kodua has warned government appointees to work hard and discharge their duties honorably or face being reshuffled.
Addressing the students wing of the party, Tertiary Students Confederacy (TESCON), in Kumasi, he cautioned that any appointee whose work jeopardizes the party’s bid for re-election in 2024 will be fired.
According to Mr. Justin Kodua, other party members put in a lot of effort to help the party win the 2016 elections and they will continue to do so to help the party hold onto power in the 2024 elections.
“The party worked so hard in 2016 for us to win the election; therefore, we will also work hard to win in 2024. But at this point, if a Minister, a CEO or an MMDCE is not committed to the task ahead, just reshuffle or be reshuffled by the party”.
He further stated that members should direct all efforts against keeping the NPP in office as the President will soon pencil in all underperforming ministers, including MMDCEs, for a cabinet reshuffle.
