American-Ghanaian-Liberian actor and comedian Michael Blackson has built a school at Agona Nsaba in the Central Region.
In a video he posted on his twitter page, the actor is seen standing in between little kids with his hands draped around their shoulders.
“School is coming very soon, school is on its way as you stand in your classroom right now,” he mentioned pointing to where their feet were on the dirt floor.
The school, which would be a private school with full scholarship at his expense, is the very first of his Michael Blackson Foundation, which aims to build schools across Africa with Liberia and Nigeria being next.
In a tweet in October 2020, he mentioned that Africa needed him more than America hence he was going to work in America and spend his money in Africa by building three schools in Ghana with one in Nigeria and Liberia respectively.
However, in November 2021 in a post with a crest of the Michael Blackson Foundation, he promised to build a school in villages across Africa.
He thanked all who bought tickets for his concert as purchases contributed to putting up the project, and encourages fans to buy on his official online merchandise to support his causes. The Michael Blackson Foundation believes in empowering lives through education alleviating poverty in the process.
The foundation also does food donations and helps with health expenses of kids battling health issues.
All are invited to attend the sod-cutting event of the Michael Blackson Academy will be on January 3, 2022, at Agona Nsaba.
