In an interview with Bobo TV, Cassano raged: “Now, I believe Ronaldo lacks the confidence to accept that he has not been himself for three years. He had to go to Sporting Lisbon this year and then leave after the World Cup. He causes problems for the coaches by putting his teammates in danger. He didn’t even phone [Karim] Benzema to congratulate him on his Ballon d’Or victory.”
“He has a blindfold on his eyes and thinks he can play till he’s 50,” he stated bluntly. Dear Ronaldo, I have one piece of advice for you: win the World Cup. He can’t keep throwing tantrums and expecting to play at a high level.
He has a huge ego, but he’s not like [Lionel] Messi, who can also play sitting down. He can’t take it any longer. He is confirming that he constantly prioritizes his selfishness.”
