Ghana’s Sports Minister, Mustapha Ussif, has made an impassioned plea to Ghanaians to back the Black Stars in their quest to win the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar.
According to Ussif, the team’s preparation was going in tandem with a strategy devised by the government and the Ghana Football Association (GFA) to assure the team’s best performance.
The Member of Parliament (MP) for Yagaba-Kubori Constituency in the North East Region further stated that Ghanaians should donate monetarily through Mobile Money donations to help cushion the squad and inspire them to succeed in Qatar.
After missing out on the 2018 edition in Russia, the Black Stars have been put in Group H alongside Portugal, South Korea, and Uruguay.
Ghana’s first game will be against Portugal on November 24, followed by matches against South Korea and Uruguay on November 28 and December 2, respectively.
On November 17, the Black Stars will meet Switzerland in an international friendly before heading to Qatar for the World Cup.
