Three suspected armed robbers have shot an Accra based legal practitioner Richard Badombia while on his way from Accra to Jirapa in the Upper West Region.
According to reports, the incident which was said to have happened on Saturday, May 28, 2022 on the Banda Nkwanta and Nuoyiri on the Bole Bamboi highway saw the suspected robbers came from a near-by bush and pointed to the vehicle in which the lawyer and his relatives were travelling to stop, where one of them shot him dead.
According to the Banda Nkwanta Police Command upon reaching the scene, narrated the incident saying, the deceased Richard Badombia was seen behind the steering wheel with pellet wounds spread over his left cheek.
According to them, the deceased body has however been deposited at the Wenchi Methodist Hospital for preservation and autopsy while investigations are ongoing.
“The body was removed and has been deposited at the Wenchi Methodist Hospital for preservation awaiting autopsy”, the Police said.
Meanwhile, they have asked residents of the area to inform the Police on any information they may have on the incident.
