Some suspected armed robbers have on Saturday March 26, 2022, shot a Mobile Money merchant at Sawla in the Savannah Region of Ghana.
According to the Sawla-Tuna-Kalba District Police Commander, Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP), Paul Lambert confirming the incident to Graphic online, the incident occurred at about 8 pm on Saturday whiles the victim (Abdul Razak) was at his shop when the unknown gunmen on mortobike attacked him and bolted with all his money.
The victim is said to be reportedly shot in the head and he is receiving treatment at the Sawla government hospital.
Meanwhile, eyewitnesses say that this is the second time in five months a Mobile Money merchant has been attacked in the Sawla township.
The police has therefore started investigations into the matter.
