Protect our Members-Community Practice Pharmacy Association

The Community Practice Pharmacists Association (CPPA) has appealed to the Security Agencies in the country to provide a 24-hour security to its members, across the country.

This appeal has been necessitated followed a number of robbery attacks on some pharmacists in Kumasi, the Ashanti regional capital, in recent times.

At a Press briefing, the Chairman for the Association, Dr. Emmanuel K. Ireland called on the security agencies to investigate various reports and instance of robbery attacks on its members.

We call on the Inspector General of Police to provide Security and Patrol Services to our Community Pharmacies across the country, he stated.

He further called on the Assembly Members, Municipal and District Chief Executive Officers to use their good offices to help protect community pharmacies, given their enormous role to the health care delivery in communities.

The Association further expressed their readiness to collaborate with the security agencies to protect lives and properties.
