Sensational Hip-life Musician and the Former President of Musiga, Bice Osei Kufour has been appointed as the Managing Director for Ghana Post Company Limited.
This appointment was made by the President of the Republic, H.E Nana Addo Dankwa Akuffo Addo.
With his position, Obour is expected to continue with the expansion and digitalization work at Ghana post.
Ghana Post was incorporated by an Act of Parliament, Act 505 in August 1995 thereby formally separating it from Ghana Telecom Company. By this Act of incorporation, the corporation was expected to operate on sound commercial lines, and to be self-supporting.
Over the past 4 years, Ghana Post has been on a turnaround path leading to significant growth through innovation and the introduction of new services and expansion of its fleet.
Digitization of the Post Offices has been at the centre of the turnaround strategy allowing the Company flexibility to easily add on new services, while the introduction of digital addresses by the government has come to enhance delivery of mails and parcels.
In 2020, Ghana Post was ranked the 36th best administration among the EMS cooperative members of 192 globally.
