H.E President Nana Addo Dankwa Akuffo Addo, has through the Ministry of Interior, declared December 27 and 28, as Public holidays.
The terse statement announcing the holidays noted that although Saturday, 25th December and Sunday, 26th December 2021, which marks Christmas Day and Boxing Day, respectively are Statutory Public Holidays, however, in view of the fact that 25th December and 26th December, 2021 fall on a Saturday and a Sunday respectively, Monday, 27th December and Tuesday, 28th December, 2021 have been declared Public holidays.
This is in keeping with Section 2 of the Public Holidays and Commemorative Days Act, (Act 601), which allows the President of the Republic of Ghana to institute an Executive Instrument (E.I), to that effect.
The statement further employs the public to days, as such throughout the country.
