Cyber security Center now Cyber Security Authority.

Following the passage of the Cyber Security Act 2020, (ACT 1038), the Ghana Cyber Security Center is now Cyber Security Authority.

This development gives legal backing to the Cyber Security Authority (CSA), to implement ACT 1038.

By its status, Cyber Security Authority is expected to ensure resilient, safe, and secured digital ecosystem in the country.

In a statement to the Press, Acting Director-General for the Ghana Cyber Security Council, Dr. Albert Antwi Boasiako underscored the need for closer collaboration between the private sector, civil society organizations and international partners within the cyberspace.

According to him, malicious cyber actors get more sophisticated, more opportunistic and better organized by the seconds.

He stated that the growing digitalization drive in Ghana, needs to be matched with mechanisms that protect and secure in the cyberspace.

He hinted that in the coming year, CSA will formally adopt the National Cyber Security Policy and Strategy, which will provide a clear national direction on cybersecurity issues for the next four years.

Dr. Boasiako further encouraged the public to report all cybersecurity crimes and seek for guidance on same through the National Computer Emergency Team of the CSA.
