Coalition of Krobo Youth has lauded the government and Management of ECG for working to restore power to the residence in the Yilo and Manye Krobo district.
On December 06, ECG workers in the Krobo district parked out, citing security and safety concerns.
This plunged residence in the Yilo and Manye Krobo district in total darkness.
Fallouts from the refusal of some residence in the district to pay a long-standing electricity bills, led to this impasse.
Convenor of the Coalition of Krobo Youth, Frederick Narh subsequently pleaded with the President and Management of ECG to intervene in an impasse that has left residence without light for two weeks.
But the Electricity Company of Ghana, in a Press Statement dated Sunday, December12, 2021, announced the decision to restore power to the affected communities and district.
‘‘The ECG successfully restored power to customers in the Krobo enclave, after the security agencies assisted ECG engineers to check the integrity of distribution network to ensure safe and quality power supply,’’ the statement reads in part.
