Head of State Award Scheme Held

The president has presented awards to 160 young Ghanaians for their exemplary acts of volunteerism.

At the short but colorful event at the presidency, the President noted that the Head of State Award Scheme is all about unearthing the ‘doers’ to whom the future belongs, nurturing their talent, helping them to believe in themselves, and instilling in them the culture of giving back to their communities.

The awardees included were persons who had successfully completed the prescribed activities of the Head of State Award Programme.

Dubbed the Head of State Award Scheme, the initiative gives young people the opportunity to volunteer in the community, increase their fitness, develop their skills, and take part in expeditions.

Presenting the Awards, President Nana Addo Danquah Akuffo-Addo congratulated the recipients for their resilience and exceptional leadership.

He remarked the Head of State Award Programme will continue to train and equip young people with the necessary skills and training to take initiative and contribute to the nations development.
