The Concerned Drivers Union is asking for the 15 pesewas reduction in fuel prices to reflect at all pump stations in The country.
The group insists that not all drivers stands to benefit from GOIL’s 15 pesewas reduction, as Goil pumps cannot be found everywhere in the country.
Driver Unions across the country had embarked on a strike action on Monday December 05 , 2021.
Among others they demanded that fuel prices be reduced, as rising fuel cost was taking a toll on their businesses and livelihood.
However, following a meeting between the Coalition of Drivers and the Chief of staff at Presidency, the pump price of fuel was reduced by some 15 pesewas.
David Aboado, who speaks for the Concerned Drivers Union insists that government has not yet addressed their concerns.
‘’This directive for reduction is to GOIL alone. Meanwhile our colleagues elsewhere do not patronize GOIL is not everywhere.. The right thing must be done at the right time,’’ he insisted.
