The Former Central Regional Minister, Mr. Kwamena Duncan has asked the Minority in Parliament to allow the government to deliver on its mandate.
On the floor of parliament yesterday, the Minority Leader, Haruna Iddrisu rehashed the Minority’s opposition to the 2022 budget, despite wide ranging concessions on four of their concerns.
But speaking on the Wednesday edition of Peace FM’s Morning Show, Mr. Kwamena Duncan
expressed disquiet over the rather entrenched stance of the opposition.
‘‘It is the Akuffo- Addo-Bawumia government which has the mandate of the people. We cannot allow the National Democratic Congress to behave as though they are party with the people’s mandate, he stated.
He took a swipe at the opposition for their seeming entrenched position on the budget.
Whilst he is not opposed to the Minority’s efforts to holding the government to accounts, the former Minister asked that budget should be approved so we can move on.
He also warned of dire consequences if the budget is not approved.
