Advans Ghana Savings and Loans Limited, a Non-Bank Financial Institution, has won two prestigious Awards at the SSI awards.
The Sustainability and Social Investment Awards ceremony was held at Movenpick Hotel, in Accra over the weekend.
At the SSI awards, the company emerged as the Best Company in Project Promoting & Supporting Agriculture and Agribusiness and SSI Project of the Year (Environment).
The awards were in recognition of Advans Ghana’s commitment to Agriculture & Agribusiness, and the Environment.
Since 2017 Advans has supported over 30,000 smallholder farmers with agri-input, small equipment and mechanization loans in partnership with major off-takers and input suppliers in Rice, Cocoa and Cashew value chains and also provided financial inclusion training for over 5,000 smallholder farmers.
The company is also said to be committed to compensating the earth with new trees for the rims of paper the institution uses. Advans has planted 1,550 trees in last two years in Ghana to help sustain the environment.
In a statement to announce the awards the company expressed the company’s gratitude to the staff clients and partners for the trust reposed in the company.
