Dr. Kwabena Duffour has touted his credentials as one of Ghana’s best Finance Ministers. Asked to rate his performance as Finance Minister, he did not mince words to classify himself as a first-class Finance Minister.
He made this statement at the Tuesday edition of Asempa FM’s Ekosiisen show.
He indicated that, in recognition of his exceptional performance, the World Bank acknowledge him as the Best Finance Minister in West Africa in 2011.
The Banker, Economist and Entrepreneur, parried away claims that the 14% growth rate registered in 2011, the year he was voted the best finance Minister, was solely because of funds from exploration of oil in Ghana.
Asked what accounted for his stellar performance, he touted his 26 years experience with Ghana Commercial Bank, some stints in London and his six years’ experience at Bank of Ghana.
