Stephen Asamoah Boateng has called for restraint, amidst fall-outs of the 2022 budget rejection.
He made this call on the Monday edition of Asempa FM’s flagship political talk show, Ekosiisen.
Whilst he expressed misgivings about the Minority’s decision to reject the 2022 budget, he mentioned that further engagements will calm down nerves and put the disagreements to rest.
The former Information Minister, who doubles as the Director-General of State Interest and Governance Authority, expressed the need for the Minority to vary their stands on the 2022 budget.
‘‘A lot of people are suffering. We need to get this budget running so we can provide reliefs to the people. The Minority should not hold us to ransom’’, he pontificated.
Meanwhile, the former Information Minister has vowed to win 170 seats for the New Patriotic Party, when elected as Chairman of the party.
He lamented the fact that Ghana’s hanged parliament has spurred the Minority to want to dictate government’s policy and direction.
