Renowned multimedia journalist of Citi FM /Citi TV, Umaru Sanda, has taken to his social media pages to share a sensational life changing story of a young Accounting graduate, who benefited from CITI FM’s scholarship scheme.
A beneficiary of a joint scholarship from CITI Foundation and UPSA, Ali Inusah made his benefactors proud by graduating not just with a first-class degree in Accounting, but also as the valedictorian.
Giving a blow-to-blow accounts of how he came across the young man, Umaru Sanda recounted that while driving his father to visit his brother in a suburb near Ashaiman, a gentleman emerged from the bushes, wielding the WASSCE results of his junior brother.
Umaru recollects that the result was so outstanding that it got him screaming.
‘’His brother asked that I help. If I didn’t, he told me, his little brother would remain a herdsman slaving in the bushes for next to nothing,’’ the narration continued.
Upon discussing same with his bosses at CITI, they decided ‘’this boy must not be left to rot in the bush.’’
This is the incredible account of how Ali Inusah emerged as valedictorian for UPSA’s 13th graduation of over 1,000 students, despite his rather deprived background.
