The Immediate past Minister for Aviation, Joseph Kofi Adda has passed on, Oyenews has learnt.
The 65-year-old died in the early hours of Thursday, October 14, 2021.
According to various reports, Mr Adda was taken ill shortly after he returned to Accra from a trip to Navrongo.
The former Navrongo Central Member of Parliament, was said to have been rushed to the hospital for medical attention and died there later.
An Economist and Management Consultant, he served in various Ministerial positions
Adda first became a Member of Parliament in 2003. He won the by-election for the Navrongo Central constituency after the death of the incumbent, John Achuliwor. He retained his seat in the 2004 parliamentary election.
He was appointed the Minister for Manpower Development and Employment by President John Kufuor in 2005 On 28 April 2006, he was moved in a cabinet reshuffle to the position of Minister for Energy.
His recent public service was at Ministry of Aviation, which ended in January 2021.
