Ghanaians are taking a beating to their income by the incessant increase in cost of internet data and transport fares.
About a week or so ago, public transport fares were increased across the country.
This has seen transport fares previously at four Ghana cedis, fifty pesewas rise to five Ghana cedis.
The increment has been radical and hard for many Ghanaians and for good reason.
Spending more on transport fares, when general disposable income has not increased means, the average Ghanaians have to restructure spending.
Most say they’ve had to reallocate money they spent on feeding to transport fares.
Transport fares are not the only thing killing the average Ghanaian.
Internet data packages have seen their cost and values increase and decrease respectively.
Telecommunication companies have blamed the situation on government.
They say the increase in internet data prices is due to the increase in communication tax by the state on Telcos.
All these increase in cost are making life really hard for many Ghanaians, of whom majority are unemployed.
So as a government, it should not come as a surprise that citizenry are not happy.

Makes one wonder how minority groups like the disabled, are coping.
Seriously, Ghana needs fixing and as a government for the people, that responsibility lies on nobody else.
