The republic of Ghana and the Jamaica as at today 21-03-2020 have both recorded 19 cases each of CORONA VIRUS Pandemic outbreak
Both Countries had 3 new cases earlier today with deaths and recoveries recorded, bringing the total cases in both countries to 19
The new cases in Ghana comprises of a 55 year old Ghanaian Woman and an 84 year old Ghanaian Woman, both Women travelled from the UK two weeks ago; developed symptoms and their sample confirmed positive in the Laboratory.
The other was a Chinese male who returned to the Ashanti region in the past two weeks, developed symptoms and his sample confirmed positive in the Laboratory.
Jamaica confirmed three more infections of the coronavirus (COVID-19) in Jamaica, raising the tally to 19 cases in the island.
This was revealed by Prime Minister Andrew Holness at a press conference at Jamaica House on Friday.
Two of the three new cases are imported ones.
Of the total 19 cases, six were transmitted locally and all but one are linked to patient one – the Bull Bay St Andrew woman who arrived in the island from the United Kingdom on March 4 for a funeral.
