Well-known in the entertainment folds as ‘Maame Dokono‘, the legendary actress, Grace Omaboe, extended her profound appreciation to the organizers of the just ended Ghana Women Awards for honouring her on account of past and present achievements.
The awards event was held last week Sunday at the Accra International Conference Centre (AICC) and most of the prestigious personalities in the country were present to grace the occasion.
Delivering a speech after receiving her prestigious award, Grace Omaboe, who had graced a lot of Ghanaian television screens with meticulous craft, was full of smiles and gratitude.
“I think I have a lot to thank God and my lovely fans for, because without the support and recognition, I wouldn’t have touched the life of every Ghanaian. I want to thank you for making me a living legend. Thank you very much,” she addressed the cheering audience.
Grace Omaboe, popularly identified as Maame Dokono, has been registered as a household name and the face of the most popular television series ‘Obra‘ and ‘Akan Drama‘, not overlooking her starring in over fifty Ghanaian movies.
